Day One

An alien lands in Cardiff, possesses a woman, and proceeds to kill people through sexual pleasure. In other words: just another Monday for Torchwood.

Short Synopsis

On Gwen’s first day with Torchwood, she accidentally unleashes a gas-based alien who kills people by, er, overstimulating them to death. Cardiff’s morgues fill up with very confused corpses, and Gwen learns that saving the world can be both dangerous and deeply awkward.

Extended Storyline

Welcome to Gwen’s first official day at Torchwood! There’s no employee orientation, no HR welcome packet—just a mysterious meteor crash in Cardiff and Captain Jack yelling orders like it’s a fashion shoot for apocalypse chic.

Gwen joins the team at the crash site and promptly releases an alien gas being by accidentally cracking open the meteorite. The alien, made of living vapor and bad decisions, floats off and takes possession of a young woman named Carys Fletcher. Unfortunately for Carys, the alien feeds on orgasmic energy—meaning every time she, ahem, enjoys herself, her partner turns to dust. Cardiff has seen worse nights, but not many.

The Torchwood team soon realizes they’re dealing with an alien entity that’s both invisible and horny, which is not a great combination. While Carys tries to resist her newfound urges, she leaves a trail of ashy ex-boyfriends and panicked one-night stands in her wake. Gwen, deeply horrified and newly aware that Torchwood doesn’t come with hazard pay, argues that they need to help Carys rather than just treat her as another science experiment.

Meanwhile, Owen behaves exactly as you’d expect a man with zero boundaries and access to alien pheromone spray to behave—terribly. He uses the spray to charm a stranger at a bar, proving that Torchwood’s moral compass is basically held together with duct tape and regret.

Jack eventually tracks down Carys, sedates her, and brings her to the Hub, where they attempt to separate her from the alien gas possessing her. It’s all going fine until the alien reawakens mid-containment and things get… steamy. Literally. The air itself becomes charged with sexual energy, and the alien, desperate to survive, latches onto Gwen.

In a moment of compassion and sheer force of will, Gwen convinces Carys to fight back. The human inside reasserts control long enough to destroy the alien, saving Gwen and Cardiff from death-by-passion. Torchwood’s victory tally: one alien down, countless therapy bills pending.

Afterward, Gwen reflects on what she’s gotten herself into—a world where life, death, and alien possession all blur together in the name of “protecting the Earth.” Jack, naturally, offers a wry smile and no explanation whatsoever.
