Rosita Farisi

The one-episode wonder who proved you don’t need a TARDIS to be fabulous.

Character Overview

Rosita Farisi appeared in “The Next Doctor” (2008), the Christmas special where David Tennant’s Tenth Doctor stumbled into Victorian London and met Jackson Lake—a man who thought he was the Doctor. (To be fair, forgetting who you are and accidentally LARPing as a Time Lord isn’t that unusual in this show.)

Rosita was Jackson’s fiercely loyal companion, maid, and all-around action sidekick. Unlike some companions who faint at the first sign of an alien menace, Rosita was already halfway through whacking Cybermen with whatever blunt instrument she could grab. She had nerves of steel, endless sass, and a kind of practicality that made even the Doctor pause and think: “Oh, right, humans can just stab these things instead of monologuing at them.”

Though she didn’t officially join the TARDIS crew, Rosita acted like a textbook companion: brave, compassionate, and not afraid to boss around the Doctor when he needed it. Fans still debate whether she should’ve been offered a spot in the TARDIS. Considering her knack for survival, she probably would’ve lasted longer than, say… Adric.
