Judoon

Intergalactic rhinos who enforce the law… badly.

Who Are They?

The Judoon are the galaxy’s answer to “what if the DMV was armed and shaped like rhinoceroses?” They first stomped onto the scene in Smith and Jones (2007), when an entire hospital was plonked on the Moon. (As one does.) Their job? To track down an intergalactic criminal. Their methods? Bureaucracy, shouting, and shooting first, paperwork later.

The Judoon are mercenary police-for-hire, which already tells you everything you need to know about their priorities. Justice? Sure, but only if someone paid up front. Morality? Not really in the contract. Efficiency? Well… let’s just say they’re very good at stomping in formation, scanning barcodes, and executing unfortunate bystanders who accidentally look suspicious.

They’re infamous for their dedication to procedure. They’ll check your ID, scan your blood, catalog your DNA, and if you come up even slightly suspicious—zap. They are walking proof that “following the rules” doesn’t make you good. It just makes you a rhino in body armor shouting “BLO” at everyone.

Still, they’re not evil. They don’t cackle or scheme. They just enforce the rules, no matter how absurd the consequences. If you’re on the wrong side of them, it’s not personal—it’s just policy. Which is somehow scarier.
